"Clearing": So far, all patients in the isolation ward of Hubei Aerospace Hospital have been "cleared", achieving zero deaths of patients and zero infections of medical workers, and achieving a phased victory against the "epidemic. This marks the first new coronary pneumonia designated hospital in the city of Xiaogan "cleared".
Hubei Aerospace Hospital held a preparatory meeting for the anti-epidemic leading group on January 20, launched a major public health emergency response on January 21, set up an isolation ward on January 22, admitted the first confirmed new coronary pneumonia patient on January 25, and cured and discharged the last patient on March 9. For a total of 50 days, the hospital put more than 60 medical staff into the isolation ward, and admitted 129 confirmed, suspected and observed patients of various types, of whom, all 36 patients diagnosed with new coronary pneumonia were cured and discharged, with a successful discharge rate of 100 per cent.
Hubei Aerospace Hospital is the staff hospital of Sanjiang Group, a subsidiary of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation. Its predecessor was Wuhan Red Cross (Bethune) Hospital. It moved from Wuhan to Yuan'an, Hubei in 1970 to serve the aerospace industry of the motherland. In 2002, it was approved by the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense. The foundation was laid at the new site in Xiaogan City and moved to Xiaogan City in December 2003.
